Should visitors to East London, especially the borough of Tower Hamlets, be warned that some residents of that area regard it as a no-go area for non-muslims or anyone displaying “un-islamic” behaviour?
WARNING: graphic picture and video contains scenes of violence.

Can you help officers from #TowerHamlets who have released CCTV footage of a violent bottle attack on a student from Florida?
Tower Hamlets CID have today, 23 October, released CCTV footage of a violent bottle attack on a student from Florida who they believe was targeted simply because he was “obviously not local”.
The detailed footage clearly shows five Asian men setting upon 22-year-old Francesco Hounye, who had only arrived in the UK three days earlier.
They smashed a bottle into his face and then chased after him to continue their assault, repeatedly kicking and punching him.
The attack happened around 00:20hrs on Monday, 17 June in Commercial Road, E1, about 15 metres east from the junction with New Road.
The victim had been out for the night in the Brick Lane area with his 23-year-old friend, who he was staying with while in the UK.
CCTV footage shows them being followed by a number of Asian men as they walked back to the friend’s home in Shadwell and a confrontation beginning.
It is not clear what was said but the exchange became heated and the suspects threatening and aggressive. One of the suspects grabbed a bottle the victim was drinking from and smashed it against his face.
The group pursued the victim as he ran across the road to escape. They chased after him and continued to beat him before making off.
The victim was taken to the Royal London Hospital with deep slash wounds to his head and around his right ear. He needed 23 stitches to his face and more stitches internally. He has suffered permanent scarring and a chipped tooth.
Despite detailed enquiries, the suspects have yet to be identified.
The suspects are described as Asian and aged in their late teens to early 20s. They are possibly Bengali.
The man who used the bottle was wearing a red and white striped short-sleeved top with black trousers, white trainers and a large watch.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Tower Hamlets CID on 020 7275 4546 or if you wish to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Here is the CCTV footage:
We have posted Blogs before about Tower Hamlets and the setting up of “Sharia Zones” by the likes of Andy Choudary and friends – like Jamaal Uddin in the picture below.
Now there are some who would consider this Blog as an attack on muslims.
There are people who will say it should not be on the internet as it may be inflammatory to some, and perhaps inciting violence?…
Well, the only violence I see is in that CCTV footage where FIVE brave young men beat up a man who is on his own, because he “wasn’t local”.
I can also testify to anyone thinking of visiting TH that this is the norm for these individuals.
They are brave in big numbers but not if they are evenly matched, and they also carry weapons.
Welcome to the Capital City of England.
