Intolerance At A Tolerance Conference?

Just one example of the hypocrisy that exists within the “Religion of Peace”.
Intolerance at a “Tolerance Conference”? You couldn’t make that shit up.
Sometimes we don’t have to do or say a word. They do our job so well for us 🙂
We hope he has not sustained serious injuries, and this will not dissuade him from encouraging Tolerance in his religion in the future.

“Moderate” Tunisia: Muslim leader hospitalized after being attacked at “Tolerance In Islam” conference

Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil. Thomas Mann

Indeed. This would-be hilarious episode in the annals of Islam would be knee slappin’ funny save for the vicious and brutal attack on a human being.

Mourou experiences tolerance in Islam

Tolerance in Islam vividly and accurately illustrated. “Ennahdha Founder Attacked at ‘Tolerance in Islam’ Conference,” by Khawla Ammar for Tunisia Live, August 6 (thanks to David):

Yesterday, Abdelfatah Mourou, a prominent Tunisian Islamist figure, was hospitalized after he was attacked by an attendee of a conference entitled, Tolerance in Islam, which he was heading in Kairouan. The assailant struck Mourou in the head with what appeared to be a water glass following a dispute. Mourou passed out and was taken to the hospital, where he was given five stitches in the forehead.

Mourou, who is one of the founding members of Tunisia’s eminent Islamist Ennahdha party, was chairing the conference with Ridha Belhaj, the head of the ultra-conservative Hizb-ut-Tahrir party, and Youssef Seddik, a well-known Tunisian philosopher.

“Certain people intervened, and tried to force Youssef Seddik to leave. They started insulting him, claiming that he said bad things about Sayida Ai’cha – the wife of the prophet. I tried to convince those people that this is not true and that it was not Seddik who said that. I was there, and, on the contrary, Seddik tried to defend her,” Mourou explained in an interview with Tunisian radio station Shems FM

In response to the attack, Morou [sic] said, “I am fine now, the damage is moral… We are here to speak about tolerance, but those people are ignorant of true Islam. I don’t know what his [the attacker’s] political orientation is, and regardless, this is not part of Islam.”…

Actually, violent attacks against those who are thought to have insulted revered figures of Islam is very much a part of Islam. Islam mandates death for non-Muslim subjects of the Islamic state who mention “something impermissible about Allah, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), or Islam” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o11.10). Such laws go back to passages in the Hadith and Sira in which Muhammad orders the murders of people who have insulted him, including Abu ‘Afak, who was over one hundred years old, and the poetess ‘Asma bint Marwan. Abu ‘Afak was killed in his sleep, in response to Muhammad’s question, “Who will avenge me on this scoundrel?” Similarly, Muhammad on another occasion cried out, “Will no one rid me of this daughter of Marwan?” One of his followers, ‘Umayr ibn ‘Adi, went to her house that night, where he found her sleeping next to her children. The youngest, a nursing babe, was in her arms. But that didn’t stop ‘Umayr from murdering her and the baby as well. Muhammad commended him: “You have done a great service to Allah and His Messenger, ‘Umayr!” (Ibn Ishaq, 674-676)

Then there was Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf. Muhammad asked: “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” One of the Muslims, Muhammad bin Maslama answered, “O Allah’s Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?” When Muhammad said that he would, Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab).” Muhammad responded: “You may say it.” Muhammad bin Maslama duly lied to Ka’b, luring him into his trap, and murdered him. (Sahih Bukhari, volume 5, book 59, number 369)
